Myanmar is dealing with some of the most challenging health indicators in the Pacific Asia region, with only one in three women estimated to be using a modern method of contraception.
Marie Stopes Myanmar is working with the Government of Myanmar to increase access to sexual and reproductive healthcare, and improve sex education – particularly for those living in poverty and hard-to-reach areas.
As one of our most successful programs in the region, Marie Stopes Myanmar is achieving amazing results for women and men.
Last year Marie Stopes Myanmar served close to 40,000 clients with a range of services including long-acting contraception, sexual and reproductive health services and HIV counselling and testing services in 40 centres and through 51 outreach teams.
If you would like to know more about how one of our programmes works on the ground, and how our teams are able to provide exceptional services to women and men, no matter where they live, watch this beautiful video from our team in Myanmar.
