As a non-profit healthcare provider, we use philanthropic donations and any surplus from full fee-paying clients to provide bursaries to clients who are experiencing financial hardship. The ‘Safe Abortion and Contraception Choice Fund’ (the Choice Fund) is for women and pregnant people in Australia who are experiencing financial hardship and in addition to other healthcare barriers.

• 100% were experiencing financial hardship
• 38% were living in coercive contexts including family, domestic or sexual violence
• 10% were Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
• 10% were experiencing homelessness
• 5% were living with addiction.

We do not have the resources to respond to increasing demands for financial support throughout this pandemic. Please consider how you can donate or fund raise to support us to provide women and pregnant people safe access to contraception and abortion care.

Over the last 40 years, MSI Reproductive Choices has provided life-changing sexual and reproductive healthcare to over 100 million people worldwide. In 2016, we delivered family planning, contraception, safe abortion and sexual health services to over 20 million women and men across 37 countries.

In Australia, we fundraise for our Asia-Pacific programs through our international development organisation, MSI Asia Pacific.
