Welcoming you to our clinic We’ve been based in Rockhampton for over 25 years and during this time we have built a strong reputation for providing quality unplanned pregnancy services to our clients. With extensive experience in sexual and reproductive health, you can rest assured that you are in safe and caring hands. From our friendly support staff to our caring doctors we want your experience to be as pleasant as possible. Our doctors and nurses are always here to answer your questions before the procedure to put your mind at ease. In addition, you are welcome to bring along a friend, your partner or a family member to support you on the day. We kindly ask that no children or babies attend the clinic as this can be distressing to some. Quality assured We are a government registered abortion clinic. We are the only abortion provider in Australia that is independently assessed by the National Medical Advisory Committee (NMAC) to ensure quality clinical processes, protocols; and procedures. NMAC also review our doctors’ performance. Our Dr Marie™ Rockhampton clinic is ISO certified. Cost If you have a Medicare card, some of the cost will be covered by Medicare. There is however an out of pocket cost as with most other private medical treatments or day surgery procedures. The cost varies according to a number of factors including the centre you attend; how far along you are in the pregnancy; the type of abortion procedure you choose; and whether you have private health insurance. If you have private health insurance, then you may be covered to an extent under your policy. You should contact your insurer directly for information.
