where we work |
|
Globally, the Marie Stopes International Partnership, which Marie Stopes International Australia is part of, works in over 40 countries around the world (highlighted grey) in over 610 sexual and reproductive health centres with 7,500 team members. Marie Stopes International Australia supports eight country partner programs in the Asia Pacific (highlighted green) including the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander program in Australia. The Marie Stopes International Partnership works from a social business model. Funds generated in self-sustaining programs, such as those in the United Kingdom and Australia, are donated back into other Marie Stopes International Partnership country programs to help these programs grow and in turn, where possible, become self-sustaining. For example, the 12 Marie Stopes sexual and reproductive health centres around Australia donate their surplus funds into the Marie Stopes International Australia supported Asia Pacific programs.
