Maria will be visiting our clinics in Goroka and Port Moresby, seeing how we work within government facilities, and she'll look at our work in the community raising awareness about family health issues.
Maternal mortality rates remain very high in PNG, rivaling parts of sub saharan Africa. Many women want a break between pregnancies or have decided they want no more children, yet only 20% are accessing modern contraception. For these reasons we work to provide essential reproductive health services for women and men who need them the most.
