In 2008 MSIA provided sexual and reproductive health services and education to over 710,000 people in 10 country programs.
These services include a variety of sexual and reproductive areas such as: family planning, safe abortion & post-abortion care, maternal & child healthcare including antenatal care and safe delivery, diagnosis & treatment of sexually transmitted infections and HIV prevention. Currently, we are dramatically expanding health service delivery for low-income women and couples. This expansion involves adding clinics and rural outreach programs in new countries and new regions of existing countries; creating social franchising networks to further expand access; and the wide distribution of high-quality, affordably-priced contraceptives with an emphasis on long-term methods.
