About Us

Marie Stopes International Australia (MSIA) ( ABN: 79 082 496 697) is an Australian not for profit, non-government, tax deductible organisation (NGO), working with local partners and governments to provide vital reproductive health services in low income communities in Asia and the Pacific. We also work with Australia's Indigenous communities through MSIA's fully-owned charity, Marie Stopes Australia ( ABN: 87 102 495 536). Donations of  $2.00 or over to support our work both within Australia and overseas are fully tax deductible. MSIA works for theimprovement of the health and quality of life of women and their families, helping them to exercise their right to enjoy reproductive health and have Children by Choice, Not by Chance. MSIA and its partners are committed to saving lives through reproductive health care.

Established in Melbourne in 1998, MSIA has access to nearly 3 decades of international development experience as a result of its belonging to the Marie Stopes International Global Partnership of 40 country programs.

MSIA is a non-religious, non-political development agency. We do not allow our funds to be used for party-political or evangelical purposes. We are committed to sustainable projects which achieve enduring change and so do not engage in welfare activities. We work wherever there is an unmet need for successful, innovative, sustainable and quality reproductive health initiatives. We do not discriminate on the grounds of race, culture, ethnicity, gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, political or religious persuasion and our projects work across all these boundaries.
