Jane Black

MSc Dev (Pop & Rep Health), DMSt, BA (Hons)

Jane is experienced in humanitarian and emergency aid, particularly in conflict situations. A community programs worker with a focus on refugee background communities and international tracing services.

‘I believe in choices and the basic right to be able to access quality sexual and reproductive healthcare and education.  However, this right of access is limited - nowhere more so than among the estimated 42 million refugees or persons living in refugee-like situations worldwide. My hopes are that Marie Stopes can continue to improve the sexual health humanitarian response system which saves lives and reduces illness.’

Elle Cox

BA (Hons) ASDA

Elle is an award winning independent Film Producer (Firelight Productions). She is also an experienced events and marketing manager.

‘It is an honour to have been a board member with Marie Stopes.  It is all too easy for us in a developed country to forget how fortunate we are to have choices and options available to us for our reproductive health.  During 2009 we worked hard on improving awareness of Marie Stopes and having the opportunity to host a movie screening of the film ‘Amelia’ was a highlight for me.’

As Elle steps down in 2010 from her Board duties we thank her for her tireless commitment and passion for global reproductive health rights over the past seven years.

‘I have had over 10 years involvement with Marie Stopes as I am very committed to the core values and activities of the organisation.  I see Marie Stopes becoming the biggest provider of family planning in the world, particularly in low and middle income regions and families.  Here in Mongolia Marie Stopes provides 50% of the services so this is example to show that this is possible.’

As Bolormaa steps down in 2010 from her duties as a member of the Board we thank her for her valued contribution over the past two years.
